Setting up Individualized Learning

Teachers may wish to create an individualized learning path for a specific student. This can be done using Restrict Access.
Restrict Access is a feature that allows instructors to release topics, resources and activities for their learners based on specific criteria such as a date, a grade, or completion of a prior activity. For an individualized learning path, access can be restricted based on the learner’s email address, as outlined below. For more general information about restricting access, see Setting up and Using the Restrict Access Settings.
Another feature that may be helpful in some cases is to give a specific student a different time limit or number of attempts in a quiz than the whole class is doing. See Adding an Override to a Quiz Activity.
Teachers may wish to have the learner’s activities completely separate from those for the rest of the class. In this case, access can be restricted to an entire section of the Moodle course area, where that learner’s materials are stored. Alternatively, if the learner in question simply needs a few different activities, it may be more effective to restrict access just to those activities. The process of changing these settings is the same either way.

The student who has access will see it as a regular activity. Other students will see not see it at all.
