Moving Topics and Blocks

Once editing is turned on in a course, the Move resource icon is displayed within each topic and block.
This icon allows instructors to modify the positioning of items on a page.
Moving a Topic
1. At the top of the course, click on the Turn editing on button.
2. Locate the topic that you would like to move and click on the Move resource icon to the left of the topic’s title.
3. The Move topic pop-up window appears.
The name of the topic to be moved displays at the top of the pop-up window.
4. Locate and click on the topic name where you want your topic to be placed.
In this case, At home in Our Community and the World (LINC 3) will be placed above the Using the LINC 3 Courseware topic on the course home page.
Moving a Block
1. At the top of the course, click on the Turn editing on button.
2. Locate the block that you would like to move and click on the Move resource icon.
3. The Move block pop-up window appears.
The name of the block to be moved displays at the top of the pop-up window.
4. Locate and click on the block name where you want your block to be placed.
In this case, the Latest Announcements block will be placed above the Calendar block on the course home page.
