Moving Sections and Blocks

Once editing is turned on in a course, the Move resource icon is displayed within each section and block. 

This icon allows instructors to modify the positioning of items on a page. 

1. At the top of the Course Homepage, click on the Edit mode toggle button in the upper right corner of the screen to activate the editing tools.

Note: The toggle moves to the right, indicating that course editing is now on.

2. Locate the section that you would like to move and click on the Edit icon to the right of the section title.

3. In the drop-down menu, click on Move.

The name of the section to be moved appears at the top of the pop-up window. 

4. Locate and click on the section name where you want your section to be placed.   

Note: In this case, it will be placed below the Orientation to PBLA CLB 1-4 section on the course home page.

2. Locate the block that you would like to move and click on the Move resource icon.

3. The Move block pop-up window appears.

The name of the block to be moved displays at the top of the pop-up window. 

4. Locate and click on the block name where you want your block to be placed. 

In this case, the Online users block will be placed below the Mass Actions block on the course home page.
