Showing and Hiding a Course

Courses can be hidden from students while they are being developed, updated, or during holidays. Your courses arrive in the hidden state. This allows new teachers to develop their courses in private. When the course is ready for a cohort of students, the teacher simply follows the instructions below to reveal the course to the students.
Showing Your Course to Students
1. Click on the course Actions menu.
2. In the drop-down menu, click on Edit settings.
3. In the General section, click on the Course visibility box.
4. In the drop-down menu, click Show.
5. Scroll down and click Save and display.
Students now have access to the course.
Note: Sometimes this access is not immediate; it may take an hour before students can see the course.
Hiding Your Course from Your Students
1. Click on the course Actions menu.
2. In the drop-down menu, click on Edit settings.
3. In the General section, click on the Course visibility box.
4. Choose Hide in the drop-down menu.
5. Click on the Save and display button.
Students cannot see the course.
