Changing ePortfolio Artifact Settings for Auto-Collection After a Quiz or Assignment Is Complete and Graded

If a teacher forgets to set ePortfolio Artifact Settings to a Quiz or Assignment for auto-collection to the ePortfolio, the activity can still be set after the fact by following these steps:

Quiz

1. Begin by clicking on the Quiz that needs to be tagged for auto-collection in the course.



2. After the Quiz opens, click on the Settings link.



3. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page and expand the ePortfolio Artificial Settings section. 


4. Choose an Artifact type


Note: If Skill Using is selected, a CLB Target item as well as a Can Do Statements(s) feature appear.

Note: If Assessment is selected, a self-assessment check, a CLB Target item and a Can Do Statements(s) feature 
appear.


5. In the Skill drop-down, choose from the following: Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking, Other and About Me.  


6. If necessary, select a CLB Target.



7. If necessary, select a Can Do Statement.



8. Click on the Save and Display button.



9. Click on the number of Attempts link.



5. On the Results page that opens, scroll down to the Display Options section.

Note: Student grade details are displayed in a table. 

6. Under the table, click on the Regrade attempts... button to regrade the quiz. This will make the system auto-collect the artifact to the ePortfolio.


Note: Regrading only applies to automatically marked questions in the quiz. Essay-type questions are not regraded, but the Quiz will auto-collect again anyway.



7. In the Regrade pop-up, choose all attempts and all questions. 


8. Click on the Regrade now button. 


9. When the regrade is complete, click on the Continue button.



10. Open the Binder and check a student's ePortfolio for the Quiz artifact.


 

Assignment

1. Begin by clicking on the Assignment that needs to be tagged for auto-collection after the assignment has been graded.



2. When the Assignment activity opens, click on the Settings link.



3. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page and expand the ePortfolio Artificial Settings section.



4. As required, select an Artifact Type, Skill, CLB Target and a Can Do Statement.


5. Click on the Save and Display button.

6. Click on the Submissions link.

7. Check the Quick grading box. 

8. Look at the list to change the grade and comments for student assignemnts.



9. Click on the Save button in the Sticky bar at the bottom of the screen.


10. Click on the Continue button.


When the changes have all been saved open the Binder and check a student's ePortfolio for the Assignment artifact.
