Overview
Keeping track of progress in a course can be challenging for learners and instructors. Activity completion is a helpful way for learners to track their progress in a course. A learner can see a checklist on the course homepage indicating their current progress. Instructors can see a checklist indicating all learners' current progress and create a point-in-time report.
When an activity is marked complete, the learner moves closer to completing the course.
In some courses, the Activity completion feature is used to restrict access to activities. This means a learner must complete an activity in order to move on to the next one.
Learner Activity Completion status indicators
- The Activity completion status indicator Mark as done indicates that the learner can manually mark the activity as completed.

- After the activity completion indicator is clicked, the indicator changes colour, displays a check mark and shows the word Done.

- The Activity completion status indicator To do indicates that the learner must complete a task or tasks to earn a completion.

- Depending on the activity or resource type and the conditions set up by the course teacher, the task requirement drop-down will display differently.
