Editing icons (Instructor non-editing)

Instructors (non-editing) have limited editing privileges on Avenue courses.
Once edit mode is enabled in a course, the editing icons are displayed within each section and block. These icons allow instructors to change the position of items on a page, adjust their availability for students, and provide access for editing the activities and resources.
The editing icons in a block appear in the top right corner.

Move

This icon allows an instructor to move a section or block up and down a course page.
Delete Block

This icon is available in block settings that non-editing instructors can access. It allows them to remove certain blocks.
Edit Title

This icon allows the instructor to change the title of a section on a course page. After editing the title, it is necessary to press the Enter key to save the changes.
Edit

This icon reveals drop-down menus in various areas of the course.
Configure / Edit Settings

This icon is used to change settings for blocks and sections.
Show / Hide

Make available but don't show on course page

This icon hides activities or resources from the course page while keeping them available through direct links in other course activities, such as a Page or a Book.
Highlight/Unhighlight Sections

These icons allow you to highlight a section to draw attention to it and unhighlight it when the focus is no longer required.
Assign Roles

This icon allows instructors to assign specific roles to participants in particular resources or activities. This feature is useful for small-group tasks, as it enables instructors to grant selected students limited teacher-level permissions within a specific activity.
